What this means for you
The short version: we use the details you provide to discuss, plan, and manage your tattoo appointment. We do not sell your personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models.
This policy applies when you use AU Ink's website, send a tattoo inquiry, upload a reference, request an appointment, or communicate with the studio about your booking.
AU Ink Tattoo Shop operates this website and the booking system shared with Walk-in Tattoo Panglao. A request sent on either site is stored in that shared system so the assigned studio can reply.
We handle your information for client service, studio operations, safety, security, and legal obligations. Please read this policy together with our Terms of Service.
Information you share with us
- Your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, Instagram handle, and preferred contact channel.
- Your tattoo idea, placement, size, style, budget, reference images, placement photos, marked body areas, preferred date, and scheduling notes.
- Travel details you choose to give, such as whether you are visiting or local, home country, and arrival or departure dates.
- Your confirmation that you are at least 18, that requested times are in Philippine Time, that you will disclose relevant medical or allergy information before tattooing, and that you have read these legal pages. We store those acknowledgments, not a medical file, unless you type details into the notes.
- Deposit and payment-verification records, including GCash or bank receipt images, when a payment feature is used.
Information collected when you use the website
- Essential cookies or tokens used for sessions, security, language, saved booking drafts, and anonymous visit counts.
- Limited request information used to secure the form, including Cloudflare Turnstile and short-lived rate limits that may use your IP address without adding it to the public analytics table.
- Public reviews we republish from Google or another public profile, using the name and photo already visible on that platform.
How we use your information
- Review your idea, answer questions, prepare a quote, and discuss design options.
- Schedule, confirm, change, and carry out your appointment.
- Contact you about your inquiry, deposit, preparation, arrival, or aftercare.
- Keep appropriate business, consent, safety, and accounting records.
- Prevent duplicate bookings, fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Count page views and improve the reliability of the website and booking service.
Appointment calendars
The studio may place a confirmed appointment on the assigned artist's private, studio-managed Google Calendar. The event may include your name, booking ID, appointment time, studio name, location, and contact number so the artist can prepare for your session.
You are not added as a Google Calendar attendee, your booking email address is not placed in the managed event, and Google does not send you an invitation. Any calendar file we offer you is optional and does not change the status of your appointment.
Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
How long we keep it
- Booking drafts stay on your device until you send the request or clear site data.
- Visit records store a path and anonymous browser ID for studio traffic. Ask us if you want those records removed.
- Booking records, reference images, placement photos, and deposit receipts stay with the appointment for client service, safety, dispute handling, and accounting.
- Private booking links can be opened only after email verification. Access sessions expire; do not share the link or QR.
We do not currently delete booking files on a fixed calendar date. Operational backups may keep protected copies for a limited recovery period. Records may be kept longer where law, fraud prevention, security, or an active dispute requires it.
Your choices and rights
AU Ink handles personal information in the Philippines under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). The studio named on this site, at In front of Diving King / Toto Peppino, Panglao, Bohol 6340, is the personal information controller for requests sent here.
You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or object to or restrict certain uses, subject to that law and other applicable rights. We may need to verify your identity first. We may retain records required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or safety reasons.
You can ask us not to use an optional contact channel, tell us when booking information is wrong, or refuse public portfolio photos of identifying work. Please do not send more sensitive information than the studio needs to work safely.
How we protect your information
We use role-based staff access, secure sessions, encrypted credentials for connected services, HTTPS, request validation, and monitored infrastructure. No online system is risk-free. Please contact the studio promptly if you believe a private booking link or message has been shared with the wrong person.
